Only five teams remain in this competition! By the end of today, we will be down to two! Today's challenge will be in the Central Asian country of Turkmenistan. The contestants will first have to ride a bus to the capital of Ashgabat in the Ahal Province in South Turkmenistan. There, contestants will race to Gypjak Mosque, one of Ashgabat's most famous cultural and religious landmarks.
At the mosque, contestants will receive their instructions for the next challenge. It will be a detour, so both member of the team need to be ready.
It's time for the Turkmen Horse Festival. On the last Sunday of April every year, contestants will participate with the natives of Ashgabat in a horse race spanning ten miles across the heart of the city. This is to honor Ahal Tekke horses which are native to Turkmenistan. Once BOTH members have reached the end, they will race to the Monument of Neutrality for the check-in place. Only the first two teams to arrive will move on to the finale of the race in Yemen.
