It's time for another season of The Amazing Race. For the first time ever, the Amazing Race will begin in the beautiful European country of Norway. This is going to be an exciting year for both our contestants and fans. The first of many interesting and fun challenges will occur in the Lofoten archipelago in the city of Stokmarknes in northern Norway where contestants will receive instructions.
In order to receive instructions for the challenge, teams will need to catch a minimum of ten pounds of fish. Those who have trouble can receive help from fishermen, but will have to catch an additional five pounds to continue. The next challenge will be a detour, so both contestants of a team should be prepared.
Once contestants have captured to appropriate amount of fish, they will take a snow mobile to the nearest bus stop which will take them south to the town of Geilo, Norway. There, the teams will participate in the Frozen Waterfall Festival where contestants will work together in their groups to construct instruments made of ice. The instruments will then be judged by a group of judges based on design, creativity, and the instruments' ability to play. Once, they have all been judged, the group with the highest score will be the first to be given a map to the check-in place. The better the score, the faster a group will reach the check-in place at the Highland Lodge within the city. Only the first ten groups to reach the check-in place will advance.
